I ordered these bags (1 red and 1 gray) specifically for travel on United Airlines. United only allows economy fliers one personal item (fits under seat) and no carry on (overhead storage) bags. This bag meets United Airlines' maximum size requirement for a "personal item". The bags folds flat and can be stored easily or packed as an extra travel bag. It measures exactly 17Wx10Tx9D. The interior compartment is 13x9" of wide open space, which is good because I didn't want a bag with dividers for things I don't plan on bringing. The 2 zippered end compartments are 2" each. The front zippered section fits a passport (with RFID cover) easily with room for other travel documents and the mesh pockets fit a 16.9 oz bottled water.
